It's hard to imagine that the actor who gave us the unforgettable evil genius, Hannibal Lechter, once considered himself "a moron." But Sir Anthony Hopkins thought just that when, as a child, he wrestled with the results of his dyslexia.
Acting was his escape and the results of this pursuit have been breath-taking. Winning not only an Oscar (for his portrayal of Lechter), but also Emmys for playing Adolf Hitler in The Bunker and Bruno Richard Hauptmann in The Lindbergh Kidnapping Cases, three BAFTAs for his work in both film and television, and multiple other awards from a wide variety of professional groups.
This multitalented artist has written, directed, and even composed the score for a number of films.
