In this hour of Biography, we profile the rise to fame of musician and actor Jon Bon Jovi. Born in the working class town of Sayreville, New Jersey, Jon set his sights on being a rock star at the tender age of 13 and never looked back.
In the early 80's, he created the band "Bon Jovi." Once thought to be just another "hair band," Bon Jovi rocked the world with the smash success of "Slippery When Wet," and "New Jersey."
As the 80's were fading, Jon and his band almost faded with it - years of touring had burned them out. But nothing would stand in the way of Jon's ambition. He fired his longtime manager, cut off his famous mane, and morphed his music to fit the times.
